Rules:

5 cards are dealt to each player.
4 cards are left over, the top card is turned over and the stack placed by dealer.
Bidding commences left of the dealer.

1st Round Bidding

Players either pass or instruct the dealer to pick up the face up card, saying " I order it up".
If the dealer wishes to pick up the face up card when all players pass he can take it, " I pick it ".
Bidding ends when someone orders up.
Ordering up the face card makes the suit of that card trumps for that hand.
The dealer cannot pick up the face up card if that would be his only trump,

and player cannot order up unless he has that suit in his hand.
If all players pass, then face up card is turned down and 2nd round bidding commences.

2nd Round Bidding

Bidding commences left of the dealer.
Players may either pass or name a suit to be trumps, other than the one that was turned up
A player can also name "High" or "Low" instead of naming a trump.
In this case, there is no trump suit, and the highest card wins the trick if "High" was named

or the lowest card if  "Low" was named.
Bidding ends when someone names a suit.
If no one calls trumps on the second round of bidding, the dealer must call trumps, "High" or "Low".

If 4 players are playing, they will play in teams of two, sitting opposite each other.
When ordering up, or naming a suit, the player may say they are "going alone", playing without the help of their partner,
who does not play this hand.
This would not be the case in a three player game where everyone plays for himself.
The team or person that orders up, or names the trump is the declaring team, the other team or players is the defending team.

Either defender may declare they are defending alone after the declarer has decided.
The other defender would sit out this hand.
If the lone defender "Euchres" (Stops the declarer from scoring 3 tricks), the declarer, the defending team gets 4 points

instead of 2. (Only with 4 players)

Play of the Hand

If 4 people are playing and a player, goes alone, the person to his left leads to the first trick.
Otherwise the player left of the dealer begins.
Players must play the suit of the led card if possible. Otherwise they can play any card.
The highest trump wins the trick.
If no trumps then the highest card of the suit led wins.
The winner of the trick leads to the next trick.
Regarding the "Bo wer" cards:

If trumps were hearts, and the hand led with diamonds.
If a player has the Jack of Diamonds and no other diamonds, he would not be required to play it.    If the hand was led with hearts and the player had no hearts, but had the Jack of diamonds, he would be required to play it.

Scoring

If declaring team/Player is not playing alone and takes 3 or 4 tricks they score 1 point.
If they take all 5, they score 2 points.
If they are playing alone, they score 1 point for 3 or 4 tricks and 4 points for 5 tricks. (Only when 4 players)
If the declaring team/Player fails to take at least 3 tricks, the defending team/Player scores 2 points ("being Euchred")
Scoring is done using 2 cards, A Six and a Four, covering digits to display the correct score.

Misdeal

A player dealt all 9's and 10's must declare a misdeal. Deal passes to the next player.
A player dealt a single Ace with the remainder being 9's and 10's he must call a misdeal.
