For us to be able to do this challenge we had to do a lot of
serious travelling. We had to go by train for this great feat of distance
travelling. We caught a bus early on Friday morning to get to Peterborough train
station for our train. The train took us to York and then the next train took us
through Darlington and finally ending up in Bishop Auckland, our target
destination. |

The journey was initially boring but we pepped it up with our
personal practical jokes which made the journey one hell of a lot shorter. Once we'd
arrived in Bishop Auckland we had to go on a never ending journey to our first campsite. On
the Monday, we had aimed to catch a bus from Hamsterly to the train station in Bishop
Auckland. But after 20 minutes waiting time we gave up and ventured on an 8 mile
journey that had to occur due to buses not running on a bank holiday. |
We arrived at the train station about 30 seconds before the
train pulled into the platform. On the way back we were all way too tired to horse
around. Apart from me (Robert), who had a little accident with the toilet door and a
disabled alarm was activated from somewhere on the train. Which caused quite a laugh
between us all. When we finally reached Peterborough we all went our own way home.
We have been having meetings to create this site since. |
