Perched upon a rocky crag this "castle" over looks the wonderful Teviot valley. Built for the Turnbull family a few centuries ago it was given the name Fatlips on account of the fullness of the pucker of the Turnbulls when they greated their guests with a kiss.
As you can see there is some restoration work needing to be done to this building and plans are in hand to restore it.
Access to this building is rather difficult unless your prepared for a good long climb and prising yourself through a gap in the doorway
