SAIDO'S STILL SINGING
Saido, the singing sensation we reported on last week, burst back onto the club scene with
another show stopping performance. With her heavy mix of rock and heavy pop, she proved that
she is a star in the making. The gig was on a Wednesday, and was only announced on the Tuesday
morning, but "The All Nighter" was packed to bursting, and the atmosphere was electric. From her
first note the crowd were captivated, and she held them in a spell that was unbreakable.
However, it seemed that fame has gone to Saido's head. Employing extra security, and creating a
barrier with the crowd did somehow lessen the feeling of intimacy that is such an assent to a
performance at a club like "The All Nighter". Not only that, but one of the crowd actually had
their arm broken by a member of Saido's security.

Saido also seems to have picked up a singing partner as well. In an exclusive interview Saido
told us that the two of them were "like sisters", and that this gig, while spontaneous, probably
wouldn't be the last these two performed together. We can also exclusively reveal that Saido
and her partner were accompanied by another young and attractive lady, who seemed very close to
the pair. When asked who she was, she replied she was their "Groupie", to which the singers
laughed! When we further questioned them the pair suddenly seemed very concerned that they may
have let something slip. The three were then seen leaving together, occasionally giggling. Draw
whatever conclusions you want, but this reporter didn't feel like he had much of a chance for
a private performance.

I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S ART...
A new exhibition is causing quite a stir at the Hatfield Galleria. Renting 200 square foot of
floor space the artist Steph Joyce is bringing art back to the streets. There is no entry fee,
and no-one to tell you not to touch the exhibits. The work is a mixture of classical sculpture,
and laser surgery. Sometimes a microscope is need to make out the portrait of an old love that
is crafted in the side of a swan. The real beauty is that Steph hasn't told anyone where the
hidden art is, and yet she is allowing children to climb and play on her work. Considering that
a single scuff from a shoe can wipe out weeks of detailed laser work it's not surprising that
some people are calling her mad.
Still, mad or not, there is no denying her work is fantastic.

BARON VON WAMPKTCHER TO COME TO HATFIELD!
Baron Von Wampktcher is finally to come to Hatfield. His visit to be some time in the year 2000
is going to be his last stop on his tour of great Britain. Apparently there has been such a huge
amount of interest in Hertfordshire that the baron has cancelled his third lecture at Cambridge
to be able to talk at the Universty of Hertfordshire instead.
However, not everyone is pleased by the news. Whever Wampktcher has lectured there has been an
outbreak of violence and while no one has yet been killed some say that it is only a matter of
time.
