2 FOUND DEAD! POLICE BAFFLED
Two deaths. Both found dead in their beds, both in what police are calling "confusing"
circumstances.
Her friend John Goldsmith found Lin Everglade (31), a prominent member of the local Green
Party, dead last Tuesday. "It was terrible," said Goldsmith (27). "We had arranged to go out
together. I went round and when she didn't answer I fished the spare key out of the pond
where she hid it. She sometimes oversleeps and it wouldn't have been the first time I'd have
had to wake her up. But then, when I saw her, it was so horrid."
Jeff Collins (47), lawyer and father of three was found dead just yesterday at his home in
Watford. His wife, Lisa Collins (43), who is believed to have woken up to find her husband
dead next to her, issued this statement through her solicitor, and friend of the family,

Kelly Wilson; "Firstly I would like to thank everyone for all their help and support. I
would also like to thank the police. Also, I would like to express my grief to the family and
friends of Lin Everglade at this time. I am horrified by the death of my loving husban, Jeff
Collins, and I want to aid the police in the efforts to find the person or people who did
this. And so, I would like to announce a reward of £50,000 for information leading to a
conviction for the death of my husband. Thank you."
DCI Huttun, the officer heading the investigation, had this to say; "At this moment we are
treating the two deaths as if they were related. We suspect some kind of poison was used,
one that are currently unable to trace. However, how this poison was administered is a
mystery. We are encouraging members of the public to come forward with any information they
have.

to be told that the university security couldn't remember why they had called them! One
constable said; "We have real work to do, we can't be running around chasing up prank calls
like this." It was not revealed what the emergency was.

back."
