Internet Links
There don't seem to be many Internet Links in the UK for those interested in Behavioural Intervention/ Therapy, etc. However there are a very large number of links in the USA. Please remember that it is spelt 'behavior' over there although in Canada it is spelt the same as in the UK. Other terms are also used including Lovaas Therapy, Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), Discrete Trial Training, etc. I have found these Internet links very useful:- Excellent. An enormous site with a very extensive range of resources Lovaas Therapy for Maine Pre-schoolers with Autism/PDD An interesting site with a very good question and answer section ABA Resources for Recovery from Autism/PDD/Hyperlexia A very large number of useful links together with a listing of relevant academic articles Teaching Children Through Behaviour Management Lengthy notes from a lecture series in October 1993 based on the work of Dr Lovaas (fairly academic and about 29 pages of actual text!) Centre for Autism and Related Disabilities(CARD) CARD provides courses for training tutors for parents wishing to set up a behavioural therapy programme. At present supervisors are sent from the USA but they are apparently hoping to set up a UK office this autumn. The ME-List is a private mailing list which provides a forum for discussion of behavioural intervention/therapy. It is also called discrete-trial-based interventions, behaviour modification and Lovaas therapy. To subscribe to this list, send a short note to Ruth Allen at rallen@indyvax.iupui.edu giving your specific reason for interest in this topic. It receives up to 50 messages a day and you can either receive the individual messages or a digest of them. ABA-PRO mailing list dedicated to the discussion of ABA as a technology and science. It is located at listserv@maelstrom.stjohns.edu Institute for Child Development A university site in the USA #aba is an IRC chat forum dedicated to Applied Behavioural Analysis. The~aba Chat Channel Homepage has information for users. |
