    Multiple Sclerosis Factsheet

This factsheet contains information on our approach to multiple sclerosis.

One in three people will develop cancer during their lifetime, and this number is likely to increase to one in two in the near future.

There are a number of important elements that should be considered when dealing with multiple sclerosis:

    • Strengthen resistance and enhance vitality

    • Boost the immune system

Various approaches are helpful in achieving the above.

    Diet and Nutrition

    Dietary approaches include the following:

    Dietary Changes

Many approaches to cancer agree on certain fundamental dietary changes, and these include:

    • the use of wholesome, nutritious, organic food generally, with the main emphasis on vegetables and fruit.

    • the avoidance generally of meat, especially pork

    • the avoidance generally of additives, including flavourings and colourings and E-numbers

    • the avoidance of alcohol, and sometimes vinegar

    • the avoidance of sugar, particularly refined sugar

    • limiting salt intake

    • limiting dairy intake

Other approaches that should be considered:

    • juicing - with vegetables in addition to fruit.

    • eat a little raw vegetables every day

    • water - at least 2 - 3 litres daily - filtered tap water ideally

    Nutritional supplements

The following supplements are considered essential:

    • vitamin C - high dose - at least 2 - 3g daily, and preferably more

    • vitamin E - high dose - at least 1000IU daily

    • Better Balance - a balanced blend of important essential fatty acids, Omega-3 and Omega-6.

    • Liquid B12 - high dose

The following supplements are highly recommended:

    • Ener-B - strong B complex with Co-Enzyme Q10 and other nutritional elements

    Other supplements should be considered:

    • Cantamil 2001 - strong multi-vitamin and mineral

    Herbal Medicines

Many individual herbs and herbal formulations have traditional use, or anecdotal evidence supporting their usefulness in MS.

The best herbal approach is by individual prescription by a qualified herbalist, who will take into account the actual symptoms of the patient, in addition to the underlying pathological and pathophysiological processes.

Herbs that are often considered include the following:

    • Hypericum - St John's Wort

    • Verbena

    • Scutellaria

    •

    Therapies that may be helpful

A number of therapies can be helpful in supporting the individual at a very difficult and emotional time.

Those that may be particularly helpful include:

    • Bee Venom Therapy - the use of bee venom by injections has been shown to be extremely beneficial in a number of patients with MS.   The therapy is very intensive, and requires a great deal of determination and dedication.   However, the rewards can make all this worth-while.

    • Electro-Magnetic Therapy - the use of particular electro-magnetic frequencies administered by a device known as the 'Empulse.'   This therapy has also been extremely beneficial for a number of MS patients.

The following therapies have particular use in cancer support and should seriously be considered:

    • Colonic Hydrotherapy - helps in removing toxins from the system, encourages elimination through the intestines, supports the lymphatic system and liver.

    • Coffee Enemas - has particular relevance for the liver and the removal of toxins.

    Other therapies

A number of alternative therapies or products should also be considered.

The following are considered essential in many patients:

    • Shark Cartilage - this has important benefits for many types of cancer, and would be advised in most cancers.

    • Melatonin - this has important benefits for those embarking upon chemo or radiotherapy, in addition to being useful in itself.

    • Hoxsey Therapy - this is an approach based upon a formulation including a number of herbs in addition to a certain nutritional element.   It has shown particularly usefulness in cancers such as melanoma, breast, and many others.

    • Laetrile / Vitamin B17 therapy – this is a nutritional approach which is initially undertaken by the administration of injections of Laetrile, following a tried and tested protocol.   There is strong anecdotal evidence supporting its usefulness, and we have personally seen some success with its use over the years.

    Practical support and information

With our experience in dealing with MS, we have a wealth of knowledge and understanding, not only regarding our own Complementary and Alternative Medical approach, but in understanding the conventional approach.

We can offer support with, and help you understand any conventional treatment you are receiving, and are available at the end of the telephone if you need us.

    A note about Conventional treatments

Conventional cancer treatment has advanced little over the years.

Most treatments are focussed on the use of anti-inflammatory drugs, such as steroids, interferon, and so on.   These suppress the immune system together with suppressing inflammation, and often lead to other problems.

We can help support the individual as they receive conventional treatments, often helping patients recover quickly between courses of treatment, reducing the negative impact of the treatment upon the immune system and the body in general.   It may be possible to avoid some of the adverse effects completely.

All our therapies will work alongside conventional treatment, and any individual treatment you receive will be taken into consideration when building an individual treatment programme.

    What next?

The approaches discussed above are general and not specific to any individual.

Following a FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION we will be able to recommend an individual programme specific for your needs.

This will undoubtedly include a number of investigations or tests, and the ones usually recommended are either the Full Body Screening test or the Organix test.

There is no obligation for you to have either, but will help individualise your treatment programme and prioritise any approaches we recommend.
