Observations Calcium
K & H alpha
Having received my
new 5 angstrom Daystar Calcium K line filter, and rigged up the
Vixen 80mm refractor bought specially for this application I have
manged to do a little side by side work. I do hope to do more,
and I know I have a lot to learn to get the best out of the system.
Here are the first
comparison images I have obtained with this new filter.
This technique allows
you to see what is happening at the the different heights of the
solar surface and atmosphere
