The daily routine of an equestrian establishment never ends - even for the dawning of a new millennium! After the festivities of the night before, it was business as usual at Clyn Du... well, not quite! There were no lessons but the ponies were brought in for their flu jabs and the babies were lunged and ridden.
Lessons recommenced on Tuesday, January 4th.
After a short winter lay-off, the competition prospects at Clyn Du are back on the glory trail. On January 29th, Bobby, Rhian, Adrian and Alexa will travel 60 miles or so the Haverfordwest for the National Indoor Jumping Trials. Bobby will take Oliver, her ID/TBx, who faces his most challenging season. He's a big, placid horse and nothing much fazes him so he should do well. Rhian will ride Sonny, who, like Oliver, has only recently begun competing. Adrian and Alexa are taking Katie, an accomplished mare who, at 12 years of age, is coming into her own.
Watch out for news on the competition next week.
