WELLESBOURNE AND DISTRICT LIONS CLUB :
Wellesbourne Lions Club have had a very successful year of fundraising and service to the community. £1491 was raised from the joint fundraising event held last month for villagers in Bangladesh who have recently suffered from flooding.
On 22nd June, 63 rafts participated in the annual Lions Raft Race raising money for the Princes Trust, making this another successful, challenging and fun fundraising event.
Several new members have been recruited to The Club in the past year and they and others will be helping to organise an anniversary Tea Party for last year’s local flood victims on Saturday July 19th, at Lawrence Mackie House.
A collection took place at the M40 Service Station recently raising much needed funds for the Air Ambulance and a wonderful day was had by the Children of Chernobyl when they were hosted by the Club in Stratford.
