Professional aromatherapy utilises and combines therapeutic qualities of essential oils and massage to promote health and wellbeing on all levels.

Essential oils are extracted from aromatic plants and each one has unique therapeutic properties. During an aromatherapy session a selection of essential oils, specifically tailored to the client's needs, will be blended with a carrier oil to allow it to be used in a massage.

Thus, the patient receives the benefit of the essential oils and the massage during a session. Massage alone will help to balance circulation, digestion, muscle tone and general wellbeing. The therapeutic qualities of the essential oils will further enhance the treatment.

Essential oils have wide ranging properties; some are antiseptic, others are analgesic (pain killing), stimulant or relaxing. Thus, they can be skilfully used to help treat a wide range of physical and psychological conditions including backache, muscular pain, PMS, anxiety, depression, high blood pressure or skin conditions.

Professional aromatherapy will work alongside medical treatments to boost the body’s own healing process.

An aromatherapy treatment is holistic and will focus on bringing balance as well as treating any conditions that may be present. It is worth noting that aromatherapy is also concerned with maintaining health and wellbeing and preventing disease. You do not have to have a specific condition in order to benefit from a treatment. It can be a fabulous treat for yourself or another.

To further enhance the effectiveness of treatments I can blend high quality aromatherapy products including creams, lotions, bath products, sprays and toiletries to your personal specification.

Your first treatment will begin with a health consultation, including medical history, in order for me to fully tailor the session to your needs. All information will be held in the strictest confidence. During the massage your privacy will be respected at all times, as you will be covered with towels with only the area being worked on being uncovered.
