1985

Announcing a series of summer festival appearances, U2 released The Unforgettable Fire as a single.

The New Musical Express then included an unreleased mix of Wire on their May 1985 EP of Poll Winners. Bono duetted with Maire Brennan on Clannad's In A Lifetime, with a performance completed in two takes.

A live version of Bad was added to the b-side material from The Unforgettable Fire and released in America as Wide Awake In America, although the performance actually came from the Birmingham NEC show.

Do They Know It's Christmas by Band Aid was then re-released for Christmas.
