1995

The year began with the U2 World Service Magazine, Propaganda, issuing a CD entitled Melon. Free to subscribers, it featured a range of mixes of Achtung Baby- and Zooropa-era tracks - some of which had been released before, some of which had not. Sadly, there was no sign of the Perfecto mix of Daddy's Gonna Pay For You Crashed Car previewed by Paul Oakenfold at various venues around the world while he was opening for U2.

The band returned to the charts in June, releasing Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me as used in the film "Batman And Robin".

The single Miss Sarajevo by Passengers - a collective including U2, Brian Eno and Pavarotti - charted well, taken from the album "of soundtracks to imaginary films" Original Soundtracks 1.
