UPDATE - DECEMBER 2007 With so much activity going on across various actions from the Parish Plan, in particular the Village Shop project, work on the next stage of the Parish Plan, “The Village Design Statement”, was delayed until July when we held a village workshop. Output from that meeting can be downloaded below.. As a follow up to the workshop we will shortly be sending questionnaires to all households, asking you to describe the aspects of our village that we would like to be preserved should there be any new development. We can consider buildings, trees, views and styles. From the completed questionnaires we will put together a draft Design Statement early in the New Year. Another workshop will then be held to agree the final document that will be published. This document is important as it should be used to inform councils and developers of Barford’s opinion prior to making planning decisions. Membership of the team has changed again. Unfortunately Kate Moyce has resigned from the committee – our thanks go out to Kate for all the efforts she made in bringing the Parish Plan to its successful conclusion. We have two new recruits however, in Toby Jones and Paul Harris. We are always on the lookout for willing helpers, so if you would like to join us, please contact one of the names below.
