BUS TIMETABLES AND FARE TABLES : Updated July 2011 Revisions to Bus Services The next phase of bus service revisions in this area takes effect from Monday 4th July 2011. The feature of this phase is the effect on evening bus services in the Warwick and Leamington area following the removal of subsidies by the County Council. Stagecoach has responded by stating its intention to provide some evening services on a commercial basis, initially for a six month trial basis. Service 18A (Leamington - Warwick - Barford - Charlecote - Wellesbourne - Stratford) – This service is operated from the Stagecoach Leamington depot. There will be journeys only on Friday and Saturday evenings. On Mondays to Thursdays the last 18A bus will depart Leamington Upper Parade at 1850 and from Stratford Wood Street the last 18A bus departs at 1825. Service G1 - this local bus service in Warwick and Leamington has a late night extension arrangement from Warwick Bus Station to the villages of Barford, Charlecote and Wellesbourne on passenger request to the driver. The G1 bus departs Leamington Upper Parade at 2334 and Warwick Bus Station at 2355. This extension by request will now only be provided on Fridays and Saturdays. This is all provided on a trial basis and the message is clear – “use it or lose it” Further details of the revised bus services are displayed on the County Council web site. Service overview Barford, Sherbourne and Wasperton have an approximately hourly bus service to Coventry via Warwick and Leamington and to Stratford via Wellesbourne (route 18/18A). Sherbourne has in addition the hourly 16 route to Stratford via the A46 and to Leamington via Warwick, though this route does not operate in the evenings or on Sundays. The 18 route travels to Warwick and then to Leamington via Myton Road, passing Leamington Railway Station. It then goes to Coventry via the A46, taking approximately 55 minutes to Coventry from Barford.
