10918 Private, Machine Gun Corps. Killed in action on Saturday 31 May 1918. Age 36. The son of James Bartlett, of Barford. He was born in Barford and he enlisted in Coventry. He served overseas at some time after Saturday 1 January 1916. He formerly served as R/16742, King’s Royal Rifle Corps. Commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France. He is also commemorated on a Memorial Screen, St. Peter’s Church, Barford. Holder of British War Medal, Victory Medal.
