41136 Lieutenant, The Honourable, Grenadier Guards. Died on Sunday 2 June 1940. Age 33. The son of Gustavus William Hamilton-Russell, J.P., D.L., 9th Viscount Boyne and Viscountess Boyne, CBE (nee Lascelles) of Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Before the war he had resided at Westham House, Barford. Buried in the Burwarton (St. Lawrence) Old Churchyard, Shropshire, England. He is also commemorated on a Memorial Screen, St. Peter’s Church, Barford. His brothers John Hamilton-Russell and Desmond Claud Hamilton-Russell also fell.
