BACH FLOWER REMEDIES Bach Flower remedies are based upon the work and teachings of Dr Edward Bach, who pioneered the use of certain flowers to produce homoeopathic medicines. Homoeopathic medicines are described further under Homoeopathy. Flower remedies are used or advised according to emotional or psychological features in the individual. There are 37 different flower remedies that were discovered by Dr Bach, each with its own emotional correlation, both positive and negative. Up to six (and occasionally more) flower remedies can be combined together, and they are usually given as drops to be taken as required. A 38th remedy was also described by Dr Bach, known as Rescue Remedy, and this is basically a combination of a number of the 37 flower remedies. Bach Flower remedies are often used in our Clinic in combination with other therapies, including nutritional supplements, herbal or homoeopathic medicines, other physical therapies such as Acupuncture, and so on. Bach Flower remedies are often given for a period of 3 - 4 weeks, after which they may be reviewed and / or changed as required. Please note that not all treatments and therapies are carried out at all the various Clinics that we visit or have links with. |
