Counselling provides a confidential, safe place for clients to explore their difficulties, feelings and thoughts so that they may make their own decisions and choices about what is right for them.
Counsellors do not give advice; neither do they impose their values, on others. Working together in relationship with a counsellor can facilitate remarkable healing and insight.
Those who come for counselling can either be in distress, having experienced a life crisis, may be overwhelmed by difficult feelings, or may generally feel discontent with life, but not really know why. Whatever the individual reason, talking things through can facilitate a better understanding of oneself and relationships with others, enabling new choices to be made in the future.
Counselling is often used in weekly courses, each session lasting around 60 minutes. A course may last around 6 - 12 weeks depending on the person and the problem being dealt with.
Counselling is often used in our Clinic in combination with other therapies, including nutritional supplements, herbal or homoeopathic medicines, other physical therapies such as Acupuncture, and so on.
