Barford Cycling Group is thriving with our Facebook Group page being the main means of communication.

Click here for the Group's Facebook page.

The Facebook group has twenty six members, some of whom are more regular riders than others. Not everybody lives in the village and we welcome anyone who is looking for a more relaxed and social ride than many of the cycling clubs offer.

Typically we have between four and ten riders on our Sunday morning social ride which continues to be 25-30 miles with an all-important coffee stop around half way. We have a good variety of routes and coffee stops in all directions from the village, with the emphasis on keeping off busier roads.

The majority of riders are on road bikes, but the emphasis is on a social ride and competent hybrid bike riders will not feel out of place or left behind.

Our winter start time is 9.00am and you should always check Facebook to ensure there is an organised ride.

The Facebook group is also used by some of the members looking for company on longer/ more challenging rides out of the village on Saturdays or Sundays.

The success of the Group is reflected in the popularity of our Christmas party and summer barbecue.
