LATEST NEWS :
Ladies Guild Lenten Lunch was a chance to meet and chat with friends over soup and a roll. Due to the generous donations we will be sending £130 to UNICEF for its work with hungry children.
For our May meeting the ladies are going to support Christian Aid week by attending the Garden Tea Party at Ivy House.
On the 20th June in the afternoon there will be a communion service in church. Everybody is welcome to attend this service and to join us afterwards for tea, coffee and cake.
In July we will be having our annual Summer Lunch to support the work of the local Parkinson's Society so keep Thursday 19th July free; more details nearer the time.
Ladies Guild meet on the third Wednesday of the month in a member's home. We have a programme for the year so, if you are interested in finding out what we have planned, ring Ann on 624371. This is also the number to ring if you would like to try Lunch Club which meets on the fourth Monday of the month.
We are always happy to welcome new members.
Although our membership is small at the moment we appreciate the extra support we get at our fund raising events. We always welcome new members and anybody who would like to be a friend and supporter.
Although the Guild is essentially a Church organisation its membership comes from ladies with a wide variety of background and interests who enjoy being involved in fund raising and find the companionship of our group warm and friendly. We welcome all comers, church attendance is not a requirement, so if you would like to come and meet us please ring Ann, 624371 to find out more.
Please keep your eyes open for forthcoming events and support us where you can.
If you have never been to Ladies Guild and would like to know more about our meetings please ring Ann 624371 or Barbara 624595.
Do you know about the Lunch Club?
Lunch Club takes place in Barford Memorial Hall every month on the 4th Monday (unless it falls on a bank holiday) . The next lunch club will be on Monday 26th March at 12.45 for 1.00pm
There are a number of regular members but it is open to anyone (male or female) and new members will always be most welcome. It is an opportunity to meet other people and share news and views whist enjoying a delicious meal prepared by members and friends of the Ladies Guild.
The two course lunch costs £3.50 per person with a hot main course in the winter and cold in the summer with the addition of a bowl of soup.
Why not give it a try?
